HSE expects Commissioning Engineers to physically check the rotation speed of fans during Commissioning of LEV plant and to record this value in their Commissioning Reports.

It’s not always possible to use a ‘contact’ tachometer and we have sourced these simple ‘contactless’ digital tachometers which will do the job in most cases.

Inexpensive and easy to use.

Simply apply a small piece of the reflective tape (supplied) to a visible moving part of the fan/drive assembly, point the device and read the speed 🙂
