P600 Methods for Testing LEV Training Course

This one-day event has been designed to enable delegates to identify and correctly use appropriate LEV flow-visualisation and measurement techniques (LEV Test Instruments) to test the performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems under supervision.

P600 – Methods for Testing the Performance of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems focuses on the fundamentals of LEV systems, from their components to measurement and testing techniques. It will provide delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge to progress their career in LEV, and prepare them for taking BOHS Level 4 Proficiency qualifications (eg P601, P602).

P600 is a Level 31 LEV training course.

In general terms – delegates will gain knowledge and experience of:-

  • Basic components of local exhaust ventilation systems.
  • Qualitative visualisation techniques.
  • Quantitative measurement techniques.

This P600 Methods for Testing Performance of LEV training course is, for example, an ideal starting point for a delegate who wishes to progress in the field of LEV Examination and Testing but who requires an introductory foundation to the subject of using LEV test instruments etc (with limited maths!) which then allows them to gain further field experience before progressing to the Level 4 “Competency” P601 LEV course (LEV Examination & Testing).

1 The level of a course or qualification indicates the relative complexity and depth of knowledge and skills required to complete the course or qualification.  This course is set at Level 3 in the BOHS qualifications framework.
